Activity 2: What’s in a Name? [4 points] | Summer Learning Journey

LI: If you were to change your  name what would it be?

Today I have completed the second activity for day 4. For this activity we I had to imagine that if I was changing my name what would I change it to. My name is Fau.

Name - Fau

Name I would change to - Daniela.

I would change my name to Daniela because my middle starts with a D.

Here is an image of me:

  1. Malo e lelei Fau!,
Daniela is an awesome and beautiful name. I like how you have explained what you have done for this activity. After some research, I have found out that Daniela means God is my judge. I think that Fau is also a beautiful and unique name.

    Good Job!

  2. Kia Ora Fau! Daniela sounds like a really pretty name, you look like you would suit it. I also liked the thought behind it, coming from your middle name. Was it a random name choice that started with D, or did you already have Daniela specifically it in mind? Nice work!

  3. Kia ora Daniella- I mean Fau! For the record, I love both your names. How are you today? Olive from the Summer Learning Journey here. Blue skies reporting for duty!

I always really enjoy reading about this activity! I think finding out people’s alternative names are so interesting! I really like the name you’ve chosen, Daniella is really beautiful! If I changed my name, I would probably choose something Dutch like “Schuyler” as my Opa (Grandfather) is Dutch and I think it’s a really special way to honour his memory and my heritage. Names can be a lovely way to remember our loved ones, ancestors and where we came from.

Remember the end of the Summer Learning Journey is next Friday 24th January! Keep up the blogging, commenting and enthusiasm!

    Ngā mihi,
    Olive

  4. Hi Fau,
I liked how you said that you'd change your name to Daniela because of the letters. If you did change your name, would you change your middle and last names?
