Today I have completed the first activity for day 4. For this activity we were talking about Serena and Venus williams. We had to watch 2 videos about them and write down 3 things you have learnt. I used a google slide deck to complete this activity.

You have three very interesting facts about both the William sisters, especially the second fact. I like how you have also explained who Serena and Venus William is. Would you like to have a tennis career?

Malo e lelei Fau! You have some really good information about these two athletes. I can tell you payed much attention to these videos, and have listened to what they are talking about. And to help you out, Venus and Serena stated only sometimes they are payed equal amounts as men. This was a great presentation!

ReplyDeleteWell done for creating an interesting slides about the Williams sisters.Did you know that most of the major tennis tournaments have paid women and men the same prize money for the last 10 years? So at the four biggest tennis tournaments the prize money is the same for both genders. If Serena or Venus won, they would win the same amount as the male winner. But I think it is different at other tournaments. If it is something you are interested in, you could do some research and find out more about the gender pay gap in tennis or other sports.

ReplyDeleteI liked how you said that Serena Williams and her sister Venus have had great successes in tennis in the past years and are known well for the titles they have won. I also liked how you said that they believe that despite their gender, they can still accomplish great things. Do you want to become a tennis player when you're older?
