DAY 1:Explororers | Activity 1: Setting Sail [4 points] | Summer Learning Journey
LI: To list 10 foods that you would take out to sea for 21 days and explain why.
Today was the first day of the Summer Learney Journey, I have done activity 1 day 1. We had to list 10 foods that we would take out into sea and explain why we would take them. The foods we chose was foods that were non-perishable. Non-perishable foods are foods that don't get spoilt easily or needs to be put a specific place before you eat it. The items I chose was 42L of water, 2,400g of canned tuna, dried seaweed, baked beans, spaghetti, nuts and dried fruits, tea bags, granola bars, fruit cups, and rice cakes.

Malo e lelei Fau,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your blogpost and observing your work that you have completed. I would take these things too! I like how you have written down the health benefits. Did you enjoy this activity? I also like how you wrote down the poportion of the foods. Thank you!
Keep the great blogging up!
Malo e lelei Fau,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Mani and I am going to be joining you on the Summer Learning Journey as a blog commenter. I am so excited that you are joining us for the Summer Learning Journey 2019-2020. Have you done this programme before?
This year I am so excited that I get to read over the Manaiakalani blogs, especially because I have been to your school and met some of your fellow students! I am really looking forward to summer, aren't you? In my spare time I like spending time with my family and hanging out with my friends. I also love to exercise and write songs in my spare time. What are you looking forward to doing this summer?
Firstly I think it is amazing that you have posted! I really enjoyed reading through the list of items that you would take but I am super impressed with your reasons why because I know you put a lot of effort into the mathematics that is involved. 42 litres is a lot of water, I hope you don’t run out!! By adding some bright colours or a few pictures of the food items to your blog post I think it would really catch people’s attention. Also did you work in a pair or a group to complete this activity? I see that your activity is very similar to Farzanas but if you are working together at school that is completely fine. :)
I look forward to reading more of your blog posts Fau, keep up the good work! :)
Malo,
Mani
Greetings Fau! This is a really smart list of foods to take on a voyage with good reasoning as well. Granola Bar's sound like a great and healthy snack, I would definitely take that. Superb work!
ReplyDeleteHi Fau!
ReplyDeleteThis activity you did was great. Great job on completing this activity. What was the hardest part of this activity?
Blog you later!

ReplyDeleteHi Fau,
ReplyDeleteI liked how you gave really detailed reasons for bring each food type, like the health benefits of granola bars and fruit cups. I was interested in the amount of food that you want to bring though, like the 21 green tea bags. Where would you find a kettle?
