Activity 3: Miracle on the Hudson [6 points] | Summer Learning Journey

LI: to create a DLO based on someone you thought has been brave.

Today I have completed the last activity for day 2. For this activity we had to talk about someone who we thought was brave. The reason why I though I was brave was because I accomplish and overcome many things. One of the bravest things I have done was present a speech in front of my whole school, I was really nervous but I worked hard to make the speech and build the confidence to present it.

Activity 2: One Small Step for Man [4 points] | Week 1: Physical Limits

LI: To create a short poem about how you would feel if you forst stepped foot on the moon.

I had completed the second activity for day 2. For this activity I had to create a poem about how I would feel it I first stepped foot on the moon. The type of poem I have done was a Haiku Poem. I had used an online site that helps me make a Haiku Poem. A Haiku poem is a traditional Japanese poem with 5,7,5. The first sentence has 5 syllables, the second sentence has 7 syllables and the last has 5 syllables again. My poem was called " First foot on the moon".

Activity 1: Flying Solo [4 points] | Week 1: Physical Limits | DAY 2: UP IN THE AIR

LI: To compare and contrast Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart.

This week was the second day of week one for the summer learning journey. For this activity we had to create a compare an contrast for Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart. They were both known well for many of their flights being solo. They both accomplished many things in life. In the compare and contrast we wrote down 3 of their differences and 3 of their similarities. They were both brave women who had the courage to fly solo from country to country, they both had a big amount of confidence despite the risks and the fact that they were girls they still tried.
