LI: To write a summary of the story behind the Operation Christmas Drop in your own words.
For the last 68 years the men and women of the US airforce who are based at Andersen Airforce Base in Guam have been using a pilot training drill to drop much needed supplies to the people who live on the 60 remote islands that surround Guam. This is called the Operation Christmas Drop. This operation started when an aircrew flew past an Island near Hawaii witnessing villagers wave at them. This has become a tradition and a training drill for when aircrew members are in remote islands. For this DLO I have worked with Sulia and Juel.
