Hallenstein Bros | ANZAC Task
LI: To create your own task by using one of these artifacts as your topic - Walking with ANZAC
Today Sulia and I have completed another ANZAC task. We chose to create our own task by using an artifact on a site thatw was going to be our topic. The artifact we chose and story was the Hallenstein Brothers and Harold Hallenstein Fels. The Hellenstein Brothers is a bussiness selling clothing, footwear, accessories and more. They have been running for about 147 years. The main person we were talking about was Harold Hallenstein Fels, he served as a soldier in the war. Since his father was the managing director at the time of the Hallenstein Bros, he was determined to support his son in any way possible. One of those ways was making uniforms for the army.

Hi Fau
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your DLO about the Hallenstein Bros. I didn’t know that there was a connection to the Hallenstein brand and WW1. We all know the Hallenstein stores around today selling men’s clothing and it’s interesting to make this connection. I also learnt that they have been around for 147 years. You have done a great job and included lots of interesting facts.
well done.
Kia Ora Fau,
ReplyDeleteIt is awesome to know that a well known company / brand had such humble and noble beginnings. It doesn't appear to be something they advertise, I feel like if they advertised their history they would have a lot more business. Do you think there is a reason they have chosen not to advertise?
Awesome work Fau and Sulia, I like the team effort.
