LI: To create a hook of the beginning of a narrative.
This week for writing we have started with narratives. Using the character and setting description form last week we are starting on our narratives. We were first focusing on the hook. The hook is the beginning part of the story or the part that draws the readers attention so they would like to read more.With the advice from Mr Ogilvie he suggested that for the hook we should start the beginning from the end or start with an onomatopoeia. An onomatopoeia is words like: "SPLASH!" or "BOOM!".
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Mrs Fisi'iahi.

Dialogue | Ghost's Are Real
LI: To continue on with dialogue.
This week we have been continuing on with our dialogue to finish our narratives. We had finally polished them up and completed them. We had did this in our groups. We had did our story in the form of TOPES ( Title, Orientation, Problem, Events and Solution).
Title - Topic of your story.
Orientation - The 5 W's and Hook.
Problem - A scene that affects the characters.
Events - The part of thestory that help solve the problem.
Solution - A resolution to the problem.

Dialogue | Narrative
LI: To write a narrative in the form of a play.
This week for writing we had been continuing on with our narrative plays. We had been working on our orientation, events and dialogue. We had worked in pairs from our group to finish of our dialouge. My partner was sulia, we are still working on our events. We had a good start, we were doing the last two events. Our narrative is called "Ghosts are Real!".

Dialouge
LI: To write a narrative with the form of a play.
This week we have been continuing with narratives. We had to start our plan for our narrative and our story board. We also have been doing dialouge. We had been talking about the dialouge for our narrative. To help with the dialouge we used a Fake messaging site where we could put 2 people talking to each other. We used two people from our narrative planner to do the dialouge with. We had to make 4-5 text message pages.

Narrative | Going camping
LI: To write a quick narrative.
This week for Writing we had to write a quick narrative about a prompt. We had only 40 minutes to write the narrative. We had to do 40 minutes so we can get ready for the writing test at the end of the year. We had to use BPDEP which stands for Brainstorm,Plan, Draft, Edit and Publish. We had to first brain storm, Then we had to plan, draft, edit and then publish. My story is about a girl named Kendall she went camping with her mum. She ends up floating away in the river and drowns. Then Mr green the chief police came and saved her and took her to the hospital.

Campfire | Narrative
LI: To write a quick narrative
This week we had to write a quick narrative base on a picture we voted on. It is about two Kids, Jeff and Jess they get lost while having a hiking trip with the family. We had to plan the story all together. We used coggle and backwards S. We all chose the characters. We first Brainstorm, then plan, draft, we edit, then publish. We had to use B P D E P. This week for writing we had to write an 18 sentence narrative based on what we planned together. We had to use google form to plan. We had to choose out of 3 images and infer what it is about. We had to use a story organiser to record our narrative. After we written our narrative by using our narrative reminder we had to make an audiobook using a specific site. We had to read our story on the mic. We had to remember the language features of a narrative and the structure TOPES.

Narrative - What 3 things would you do if a Baby could turn people in visible?
What 3 things would you do if a Baby could turn people in visible?
- I would see if that baby would make me invisible so I can go to places but no one can see me.
- I will ask the parents how did the baby learnt how to turn people Invisible
- I will tell any family member who knows that the baby could turn people invisible when they found out.
One sunny day I thought to myself 3 things I would do if a baby could turn people invisible.
So if I saw that baby I will try make that baby make me invisible so I can go to places without people knowing for example the pools, I would go to the pools because it was a very sunny day and the pools with cool me down but I will also get sunburnt or tan. If I do get sunburnt or tan I will go to a type of pools that is inside so I can’t get sunburnt and people can’t see me walk in but they see me swimming.
I will ask the parents how did the baby learn how to turn people Invisible because I was curious about how a baby could turn people invisible. I thought that it was impossible but it would be actually possible. I would also tell the parents how did the baby turn people invisible; Does turning people invisible run through the family?
I will tell any family member who knows that the baby could turn people invisible and when they found out. I will tell them so I could see if it is normal to them or if it was a big shock and they tell me the answer. This could also help me figure out when they found out that the baby could turn people invisible. I think they found out when the baby first started turning people invisible and they saw that baby turn someone invisible.

Today for writing Me, Lukah, Mojtaba, Joseph, and Te Pounamu had to write a narrative about what 3 things would you do if a Baby could turn people in visible. We had to write four paragraphs. We had got the "what 3 things would you do if a Baby could turn people in visible?" from a booklet called Creative writing. So this is how you use it, there is a bunch of ideas in it and you just flip it to one of the ideas and then do the other 2. In that booklet has 3 themes that have a lot of ideas in it that you could write about.
