Bonus Activity: In Flanders Fields - Week 2

This weeks day 1 bonus activity was  In Flanders Fields . I had to read A poem and say If I like it or not and say how it made me feel.

This poem is really good! It has rythms in it and some of the words sound the same . This made me feel sad because it is talking about the war and how the soldiers died for there countries.
Here is the poem:
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
        In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
        In Flanders fields.

Activity 2: The Right to Vote - Week Two: A Period of Change (1870-1950)

I think that the fact about how women were not allowed to vote in Saudi Arabia until 2015 is not fair. I think this because women should of had the right to vote there should of been no reasons why they weren't allowed to vote.

This week I had to 'tell us what you think about the fact that women were not allowed to vote in Saudi Arabia until 2015. Is it fair? Why or why not?". This is week 2 fro the summer learning journey activity 2 day 1.

Activity 1: St Joseph’s Cathedral - Week 2 - Day 1

This is the 1st activity for week 2. I had to 'Use your search engine to find a picture of another famous cathedral. Post a picture of the cathedral on your blog. Underneath the picture tell us: the name of the cathedral, where the cathedral is located, when it was built, and how long it took to build. "

I think Tamatea Arikinui come 1#
