Infographic

LI: To learn how to make an infographic.

This week we had to make a Infographic showing why we read, what reading is, what reader we are and how we read. An Infographic is a chart with small amount of writing and with a sillhouette showing what it is doing.

Softball

This week we had our softball competitions at Mt Wellington War Memorial Reserve. We played against many schools. I was in the year 5-6 team. We had different teams depending on their year. We comppeted against 4 teams. Our first game was against Pt england. We sadly lost to them. After that we vsed Panama Rd school, won against them. Then we competed agianst Tamaki primary and won to them. Then we challenged The pt england yr 6 team and we won. Then we made it to the finals and had to play to a team in the other pool that is second place. We competed against Glenbrae. We sadly lost to them. I really enjoyed winning to some teams. The areas on a softball match is:

Fielding ( Where you stand at the bases and fill the empty space of the field.

Batting ( The batting is when you try to bat as far as you can to so the fielding people have to try get the ball and through it at someone of which base you are going, if you are past all 3 bases you have to try make it home.)

Pitching ( Is when you through the ball to the person who is batting so they can make it to the bases.)

Number 60

LI: To think flexibly about numbers.

This week we chose a number from 10 to 100. Me and my group chose the number 60. We had to find as many facts of the number 60 as we can. It can include maths questions.  We had gotten into groups of 3-4. When we had finished our poster we had to present it infront of the class to boost our confidence.

Facts about 60:

  • A normal conversation is 60 decibels.
  • 70 - 10 = 60
  • There is 60 minutes in an hour.
  • 60 seconds in a minute.
