Liberty

LI: To write an abstract noun sentence.

An abstract noun is something that can’t be physically touched, as in a feeling (happiness, fear, love, etc) also the 5 senses. This week, LS2 have been learning about Metaphors and Nouns. We got into pairs and were introduced  on what is nouns , what we see in the poem ( the structure) and the 5 senses. In our pairs we created our own poem about an abstract noun of our choice. The abstract noun me and my partner chose was 'Liberty'. Liberty means freedom or freewill.

  1. Hi Fau!
This looks like a very inspiring and thought out poem. I was able to understand more about the feeling of liberty using my senses! One thing I really love about your poem is the words and language features you used to describe your abstract noun. What could be an alternative way of describing the "taste" of liberty?

Thank you for commenting on my blog today. An alternative way I could describe the "taste" of liberty would probably be the cold sensational taste from the first spoon of ice cream fresh from the freezer.

How about you, is there any other way you could describe the taste of liberty?

      Fau :)

    2. Good afternoon Fau!

Your reply is greatly appreciated, it's great to know that there are many ways you could describe abstract nouns using senses. Another way you could describe the taste of liberty is the burst of fruity flavour from a freshly picked strawberry, ripe from the bush.

What sense did you find hardest to write and think about?

      Sincerely, Bella
