Life ED | Wise Choice

LI: To make the right choices.

This week LS2 had 2 sessions of Life ED with Nicole and Harold. LS2 got split into two groups, one group would go to Life ED at once. On monday and tuesday my group and I went to the Life ED caravan. There we met Nicole, she was going to be teaching us about our brain and making the right choices.

In lines of 3 we wrote down on a white board what we think one of the walls of Hauora are, the wall my group had got given was Taha Tinana. Taha Tinana is the wall of your physical well being, this also includes your fitness and health. We all watched a video about a boy named cuppy, in the video he was explaining the things he likes doing and why.

In the video it looked like all of his walls were standing, in the next video it showed a few kids putting cuppy down by being mean and mocking his video. Then one of the friends came up to cuppy and apoligised for the mean behaviour, then cuppy went home and one of his walls were affected which affected all of his walls. We wrote down an example of what we might say to cuppy to feel better.

We also watched a video about our brain and some facts about our brains. Our brain weighs 1.5 kgs (3 full blocks of butter) and has over 100 billion brain cells. We also talked about our reaction and response to things like when we are angry, sad, or happy.
