Polynesian Panthers

LI: To create a DLO about the polynesian panthers.

This week the Kakapo group read a story called "Rise up: THE STORY OF THE DAWN RAIDS AND THE POLYNESIAN PANTHERS". This story talked about the dawn raids and the polynesian panthers in the 1970s. The Polynesian Panthers  is a revolutionary movement party who stood up for the rights for polynesian people.  Polynesian people were sent to NZ from the islands to do factory work and get jobs. The immagrants (polynesian people) had permits of how long they stay in NZ. If they stayed in NZ too long they were called overstayers. In the DLO below, Giovanni and I created it to showcase how life was like in the 1970s as a polynesian and what the polynesian panthers did to change.
