  1. Jenny Shipley was born in Gore, South Island
  2. Jenny Shipley was elected to Parliament at the 1987 election, winning the ashburton electorate (later renamed Rakaia)
  3. The prime minister after Jenny Shipley was Helen Clark

In the 1990s, four different individuals served as the Prime Minister of New Zealand – Geoffrey Palmer, Mike Moore, Jim Bolger and Jenny Shipley.
