Visit to Mt Wellington Fire station

Today LS1 had a very tiring walk to the Mt wellington fire station to see what they do and to get some facts that will help us in our Inquiry. There were 3 to 4 men at the Fire station. They were introducing themselves to us. Before we got there LS1 was walking to the Fire station. The fire station. 2 men has been working in the fire station over 20 years and the other 2 men have been in the fire station job under 15 years. Norm was being our host mainly during our time  there. Norm showed us what the fire man wear. They showed us their hoses and  4 lucky people got to hold a hose and spray it everywhere but not on us. We all learnt lots. I learnt that some of the fire trucks are old in age. When Norm was showing us the  hose on the truck he made water get on us everywhere! I liked it when he made the water get on us because it made me cool down from the sun. I learnt that the firefighters aren't there just for fire they are there for fire, medical problems and rescuing. The fire stations emergency dial number is 111.
