Billie Eilish | Favorite Singer/Rapper
LI: To create a DLO about your favorite singer/rapper.
Today Sulia and I have completed another activity. For this activity we had to create a DLO about our favorite singer or rapper, this was a pretty hard decision as we both have a variety of singers we like, but at some point we chose Billie Eilish. Billie Eilish is an 18 yr old american singer/songwriter. Me and Sulia really like her music she makes and especially her. She is one of the people we are inspired by. There were three main points in the presentation - Who is Billie Eilish, Biography of Billie Eilish and Billie Eilishes Music Career. This was a fun and interesting activity.

Antonio Vivaldi | Composers
LI: research 1 of the great composers so that you can teach us about him and the music he made.
Today I have completed creating a DLO about one of the great composers, the composer I chose was Antonio Vivaldi. The type of music he created was Baroque in the 1600 - 1750. Antonio Vivaldi's music was one of the inspirations of the music we hear now, since its a new generation modern technology has become a big part of the world and the music styles has changed or increased. One fact I found interesting about Antonio Vivaldi was that his father was a proffesional violinist too who taught Vivaldi when he was young. I completed this activity independantly.

Hallenstein Bros | ANZAC Task
LI: To create your own task by using one of these artifacts as your topic - Walking with ANZAC
Today Sulia and I have completed another ANZAC task. We chose to create our own task by using an artifact on a site thatw was going to be our topic. The artifact we chose and story was the Hallenstein Brothers and Harold Hallenstein Fels. The Hellenstein Brothers is a bussiness selling clothing, footwear, accessories and more. They have been running for about 147 years. The main person we were talking about was Harold Hallenstein Fels, he served as a soldier in the war. Since his father was the managing director at the time of the Hallenstein Bros, he was determined to support his son in any way possible. One of those ways was making uniforms for the army.

The Maori Pioneer Battalion | Reading
LI: To create a DLO showing your perspective whether you agree or disagree about remembering the Maori Pioneer Battalion.
For this DLO I had worked independantly to complete this. On this DLO is shows my opionon/perspective on the Maori Pioneer Battalion, and whether we should remember them or not and why. The Maori Pioneer Battalion were a group of native Maori's who served in the first world war ( WW1). They had left their families in New Zealand to go off and fight in the war, not every Maori man agreed but most did. Some men disagreed on fighting beside the Pakeha as they have attacked their tipuna and taken land but the men who did join the war create positive relationships with the Pakeha and they fought side by side proudly. My answer to the question was a yes, I think we should remember the Maori Pioneer Battalion as they fought hard and were very brave and courageous for knowing that their is a risk that they won't return home.

Enrolling Poster | ANZC task
LI: To create a joining poster as if you were asking the Maori men to join the Maori contingent.
Today Sulia and I have completed another ANZAC task. For this task we used some of our information from our Maori Pioneer Battalion task into this DLO. This DLO was trying to persuade the native Maori's to join the Amred Services for the Maori contingent. Some iwi (tribes) did not want to join the Maori contingent as it meant fighting beside the Pakeha, who have taken land from those iwi. Hundreds of men from the Waikato tribe had gotten arrested for refusing millitary training. In this poster we had to show something that the Maori men would relate to and want to join the Maori contingent.

Leaf Art/Craft | Home Learning
Today I have completed another challenge set out for us. For this challenge we had to create an animal using leaves we found outside. As I went outside I found 3 long leaves in my front yard. Using scissors I cut them into making shapes of the animal I was going to create. The animal I chose was a fish. Fish are aquatic animals. Here are come 3 interesting facts about fish:
1 - Fish have gills that extract oxygen from the water around them.
2 - Fish are vertebrate animals that live in the water. Vertebrate means they have a spinal cord surrounded by bone or cartilage.
3 -Relative to their body size, fish have small brains compared to most other animals.
BONUS FACT - Although jellyfish and crayfish have the word ‘fish’ in their name, they aren’t actually fish.

For the last activity and created a drawing of a ride at Splash Planet called the Sky Castle Screamer.
